It is ideally suited for protein gel analysis in biochemical, molecular biological, cell biological,and immunological research studies.

General Description
• TRIS-glycine-SDS running buffer (10X), is the most commonly used buffer for sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) of proteins
Application
• This solution is the most commonly used buffer for protein gel analysis in several research studies
• It is also used to block membranes with 5% non-fat dry milk for western blotting
• TRIS-glycine-SDS running buffer is commonly used as both anode buffer and cathode buffer
• The use of SDS in the buffer helps keep the proteins linear. Glycine is an amino acid whose charge state plays an important role in the stacking gel
