Description
This protein was used at 20-50 ng/mL to support a 100-fold expansion of rat cortical neural stem cells or mouse cortical stem cells. Cells were cultured in N2 plus medium and supplemented with fresh FGF basic/FGF2/bFGF every day. Medium was changed every other day and cells were split every 2-4 days upon becoming 70% confluent. Measured in a cell proliferation assay using NR6R-3T3 mouse fibroblast cells. Raines, E.W. et al. (1985) Methods Enzymol. 109:749. The ED50 for this effect is 0.3-3 ng/mL.Specifications
