Genevac™ miVac Centrifugal Concentrators
Choose the ideal concentrator according to workload. Genevac™ miVac Centrifugal Concentrators are modular systems for removing water and solvents from samples. They are available with a range of unique JetRotors™ and vacuum pumps. An optional high-power cold trap is used to condense solvent vapors.
Brand: Genevac™ DNA-23050-B00
Description
miVac is a range of centrifugal concentrators capable of removing water and organic solvents from a variety of sample formats including tubes, microplates and vials. There are two sizes of system available; the larger Quattro concentrator and the smaller Duo. There is also a dedicated DNA system with built-in pump. miVac systems are suitable for use with a wide range of solvents, from volatile organic types through to water and many medium boiling point solvents.
The systems are very simple to use, allowing samples to be safely concentrated or taken to complete dryness. The large clear display enables easy monitoring of time and temperature. The intuitive controls allow inexperienced users to get first-class results, while allowing more sophisticated programming for experienced workers. The simple, robust design ensures years of reliable service even when used intensively, such as in teaching or multi-user laboratories. To improve performance there are built-in special modes for working with water and alcohols. Performance can be further enhanced through the use of the miVac SpeedTrap refrigerated condenser.
- Simplified operation with optimized programs for water, alcohol and other solvents
- Precise temperature control with timer and digital display
- Various heating functions (preheating and heating of the interior)
- Plastic coated aluminum chamber and acrylic glass cover for better chemical resistance
- The rotors are easily interchangeable
- Compact systems are quiet when in use and up to 40% faster than comparable machines
miVac Duo
Designed to accept a two-swing position microplate holder or disc rotors for tubes and vials.
- Capacity: 120 reaction vessels (0.5mL) or 6 microtiter plates
- Vacuum pump and rotors are available separate in this modular system
miVac Quattro
A bigger system with a larger capacity bowl, enabling it to use a four-swing position rotor and much higher capacity disc rotors.
- Capacity: 200 reaction vessels (0.5mL) or 20 microtiter plates
- Vacuum pump and rotors are available separate in this modular system
miVac DNA
Ideal for the molecular biology laboratory, it is designed specifically for working with nucleic acids (RNA and DNA).
- Capacity: 120 reaction vessels (0.5mL) or 6 microtiter plates
- Supplied with built-in vacuum pump, concentration chamber with electromagnetic drive and a fixed angle rotor
